Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of employment. They must have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with the ability to build rapport with patients and provide empathetic counseling.
The Staff Pharmacist will accurately process prescription orders, counsel patients on medication usage and potential side effects, maintain confidential patient information, and manage controlled substances according to regulations. They will also participate in inventory control, contribute to cost savings initiatives, and provide guidance and training to pharmacy staff. Furthermore, the pharmacist will engage in community outreach activities, such as Wellness Days, and stay informed about emerging health issues to effectively serve the community.
