Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or acceptable alternatives: non-ABET bachelor's plus PE license, or non-ABET bachelor's plus master's/PhD from ABET-accredited program
  • Typically 10+ years of related engineering experience (or 8+ years with master's/PhD in Civil Engineering)
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico (or approved waiver)
  • Knowledge of civil site engineering principles: Site Grading, Stormwater Management, Drainage Design/Analysis, Roadway Design, Erosion and Sediment Control, Permitting, Retaining walls, Surveying
  • Desired software experience: Autodesk Products (Civil 3D / InfraWorks / ACC), Hydraflow/HydroCAD (or equivalent) stormwater design software
  • 10+ years of civil site engineering experience and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel (~10%) to field sites within ~5-hour driving distance of New Albany, OH office
  • Availability for some overtime

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of transmission line proposals for competitive and special projects, focusing on large 765kV transmission buildouts
  • Oversee proposal development for competitive project bid windows across the United States
  • Coordinate matrixed teams of engineers to create design alternatives and evaluate options to enhance project bid competitiveness
  • Support project teams in executing awarded projects
  • Collaborate with Standards engineers to develop new engineering concepts
  • Coordinate with engineers from Joint Venture partners
  • Perform field trips to diagnose civil engineering issues related to electric transmission lines and substations
  • Perform highly advanced engineering work activities and projects in a safe, effective, efficient, and economic manner
