Requirements

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree majoring in Chemistry
  • Experience in commercial lab or disk drive industry (added advantage)
  • Knowledge of AI application (preferred)
  • Expertise in data analysis and problem-solving
  • Proficient in quality control skills, including 7QC tools, MSA, SPC, 8D reports, DOE, etc
  • Familiar with reporting and data analysis software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, JMP)
  • Detail-oriented, action-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
  • Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, proficient in both verbal and written English

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical analysis using GCMS, LCQTOF, DHS (Outgassing), FTIR, and IC instruments according to established test methods and reliability requirements
  • Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on technical matters
  • Lead research and development efforts to explore new technologies and methodologies
  • Encourage innovation within the team and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure lab activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, with full involvement in quality audits
  • Oversee analytical data and ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with development team for local technology upgrade or improvement
  • Provide clear vision/mission to the lab team towards business accomplishment
