Requirements

Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree majoring in Chemistry
Experience in commercial lab or disk drive industry (added advantage)
Knowledge of AI application (preferred)
Expertise in data analysis and problem-solving
Proficient in quality control skills, including 7QC tools, MSA, SPC, 8D reports, DOE, etc
Familiar with reporting and data analysis software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, JMP)
Detail-oriented, action-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills, proficient in both verbal and written English

Responsibilities

Perform chemical analysis using GCMS, LCQTOF, DHS (Outgassing), FTIR, and IC instruments according to established test methods and reliability requirements
Provide expert guidance to engineering teams on technical matters
Lead research and development efforts to explore new technologies and methodologies
Encourage innovation within the team and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure lab activities meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, with full involvement in quality audits
Oversee analytical data and ensure accuracy and integrity
Collaborate with development team for local technology upgrade or improvement
Provide clear vision/mission to the lab team towards business accomplishment
