Requirements

Candidates should have a BS or MS in Computer Science or a similar degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in developing C++ software and middleware for Linux or other operating systems is required, along with strong expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP. Experience with cellular connectivity and network stacks is essential, as well as excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Bonus qualifications include experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS), Robot Operating System (ROS), debug tools, packet sniffers, protocol and network analyzers, and cloud infrastructure and tooling like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will own key software components from design to delivery and write clear, testable, modular, and maintainable code. They will triage and troubleshoot issues across various middleware and network stacks, define and implement key metrics to monitor performance and reliability of the end-to-end solution, and contribute to long-term architecture and technology initiatives. The engineer will also work cross-functionally with diverse engineering teams, Product, and Program Management to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
