Requirements

Candidates should possess expert-level knowledge of software development using Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, and Git. Experience with integrating data stream processing engines with systems like Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage is essential. A strong understanding of building scalable, robust, and high-performing distributed systems that process large datasets in real-time is also required.

Responsibilities

The Sr Staff Engineer will set the technical direction for Stream Integrations, develop features that integrate Cribl's data stream processing engine with various third-party systems, and rapidly develop subject matter expertise in diverse technologies. They will provide technical and thought leadership, mentor junior engineers, contribute to the technical roadmap, and introduce performance and efficiency improvements. Responsibilities also include championing teamwork and best practices, leading feature development, designing and maintaining robust code, creating test plans and automated tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging users through blogs. Periodic participation in on-call support for SaaS products is also expected.
