Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Engineering in Aerospace, Software, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of test engineering and/or data analysis experience
  • Experience working on complex systems where hardware and software intersect
  • Prior experience building test infrastructure, reviewing logs, and debugging systems
  • Experience in system level verification and validation testing through systematic means
  • Experience in creating and maintaining data management infrastructures
  • Professional experience with Python or similar language
  • Willingness to work onsite at HQ in Mountain View, CA
  • Willingness to travel 15% of the time
  • Capacity to comply with U.S. export control laws (U.S. person status or equivalent documentation)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the system works and is proven safe and airworthy for R&D and company flight test purposes
  • Lead design integration across software and hardware teams
  • Untangle subtle interactions between components to ensure the system integrates as intended
  • Work in ambiguous situations with limited information to track down root causes of verification issues using technical instincts and experience
  • Drive test and flight readiness requirements across multiple technical disciplines with a focus on risk
  • Support the definition, build, and execution of ground and flight test campaigns
  • Be onsite with the aircraft to gain insight into integration activities status and issues, and respond/iterate on the development process
