Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and have at least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a preference for experience in client-side development. Strong programming skills in BrightScript and familiarity with SceneGraph are essential, along with experience working with streaming platforms and video playback technologies.
Responsibilities
The Sr Software Engineer will be responsible for contributing to the development of new application features for the Disney+ Direct-to-Consumer client app on Roku streaming devices, utilizing BrightScript and the Roku SceneGraph SDK. They will also contribute to the development of tools and systems outside of the Roku apps, such as web tools and Node.js services, and collaborate closely with Roku to vet new hardware and firmware requirements from a client application perspective.
