Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development using Java in enterprise environments
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in writing clean, testable code using TDD and CI/CD practices
  • Solid experience with SQL, Python for backend logic and integration
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in agile squads and contribute to system design and architecture discussions

Responsibilities

  • Design/develop software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise
  • Build scalable, high-performance data platforms that support healthcare data transformation and governance
  • Focus on software quality standards for all aspects of work; establish advanced software test standards and methods and conduct complex software tests
  • Design and implement backend services and APIs using Java within a microservices architecture
  • Work at all layers of the application stack including front-end user interface and backend development
  • Collaborate with data engineers, DevOps, and product owners to deliver reusable, governed data products
  • Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions to shape platform evolution
  • Assist in on-boarding new Software Engineers to the team
  • Work with Airflow, DataHub, Jenkins, Git, Snowflake, Azure, Kubernetes & Docker
