Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or SDET, with a Computer Science degree and/or relevant experience. Proficiency in coding across various languages, hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, and experience designing test frameworks/suites and developing test automation for both frontend and backend are essential. Familiarity with the Playwright framework is preferred. Experience designing and developing tools and tests for complex customer use cases, cross-collaboration with other teams, and understanding/experience with data-intensive applications or data stream processing are also required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
The Software Development Engineer in Test will integrate with, improve, and build upon continuous testing systems, testing automation, and reporting of quality metrics. They will work closely with development teams to ensure proper test planning and execution early in release cycles, and be expert in identifying performance bottlenecks, spotting anomalous system behavior, and determining root causes of issues. The role requires effective communication of insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management, and may involve stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties.
