Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal academic/vocational qualification, and at least 5 years of relevant experience. They must have a thorough understanding of pathophysiology and the disease process, solid knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas, and a strong understanding of global regulatory requirements and compliance with procedural documents and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Sr Safety Specialist will perform and potentially oversee day-to-day Pharmacovigilance (PV) activities within a highly regulated environment, including collection, monitoring, assessment, evaluation, and tracking of safety information. Responsibilities include working independently on PV activities, participating in on-call duties for specific projects, developing program and departmental procedural documents, conducting audits, mentoring less experienced staff, reviewing regulatory/pharmacovigilance publications, reviewing cases for quality and accuracy, and preparing for and attending client/investigator meetings. The role also involves routine project implementation and coordination, including presentations and review of metrics and budget considerations.
