Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required in roles such as Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Systems Reliability Engineer, including experience with mixed hardware/software systems. Specific experience includes complex system analysis and simulations, design and build of high-accuracy and high-reliability systems, and building IaC and deployment pipelines, preferably in Azure. The role requires a minimum of Windows Server 2012 operating system experience, working knowledge of SQL Server 2014 and IIS, and networking protocols for hybrid and cloud solutions. Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Perl, Python, PowerShell, or Bash is necessary, with experience in structured languages such as C# or Java being a plus. In-depth knowledge and production experience with VMware vSphere Enterprise, AWS, and Azure are essential. Experience leading 24x7 Engineering & Operations teams, coordinating onshore and offshore teams for seamless execution with 99.95% availability, is also required. Experience in the design/architecture of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and hybrid cloud solutions is a plus. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and excellent communication skills are also required.
The Sr. Manager, Site Reliability & DevOps will lead, manage, and coach Site Reliability, DBA, and Cloud Engineering teams to build, operate, and ensure the reliability of software systems. This role involves working across departments to deliver cloud infrastructure, database code, and deployment pipelines that facilitate quality, reliability, and availability. Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring individuals, triaging and resolving complex issues across organizations, leading the delivery of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, and facilitating tier 4 support for core products and services. The manager will identify proactive measures for monitoring, logging, and visibility into environment health, drive initiatives to resolve production incidents, and lead 24x7 Follow the Sun operations, coordinating engineering and operational efforts between onshore and offshore teams. Additionally, the role involves driving root cause analysis and solution definition, maintaining awareness of all systems and integrations, participating in product and feature design reviews to ensure scalable and reliable solutions, establishing and organizing people and systems, and coordinating with various departments to facilitate knowledge transfer and incorporate proactive measures into all products and services.
