6+ years of analytics experience, ideally with digital consumer products or subscription businesses
2+ years of experience directly managing data scientists or analysts
Led teams with expertise in experimentation and causal inference

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a team of data scientists
Collaborate with stakeholders across product, growth marketing, finance, and engineering to translate business problems into impactful data science solutions
Lead and conduct analytics focused areas of product development: ideation, exploration, opportunity sizing, metric design, experimentation, and impact measurement
Partner with product teams to perform deep-dive analysis on user engagement, growth, and retention to guide product development and business strategy
Define and evolve Calm’s data science and analytics architecture
Automate data flows, build internal data products, and empower decision-makers with timely and actionable insights
Make strategic “buy vs build” decisions on tooling and infrastructure investments for data science
Establish and roll out best practices for experimentation, measurement, and cross-functional collaboration
Align team initiatives with Calm’s broader mission and company-wide goals
