High school diploma or GED (college coursework, continuing technical education, or comparable business experience is a plus)
At least 18 years of age
3+ years of previous experience maintaining various powered Material Handling Equipment
Bilingual preferred, English fluency required
Previous power equipment experience preferred
Ability to use a multimeter
Working knowledge of hand and powered tools
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS, and other applications
Ability to accommodate flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call
Independently lift up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance duties, including maintaining the cleanliness of all powered equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger, reach trucks, and clamp attachments)
Conduct general warehouse maintenance duties to maintain a safe and professional work environment inside and outside the warehouse
Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, order picker, pacer, and battery repairs
Display proficiency in maintenance programs, including recycling of plastics and cardboard, lock out/tag out procedures, and hazardous materials
Operate powered equipment, including forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger, reach trucks, and clamp attachments
Monitor and maintain the functionality and cleanliness of wrap machines, dock locks, and dock levelers
Apply theory and fundamental principles of electricity, hydraulics, and basic mechanics
Demonstrate above average mechanical abilities and ability to make minor to major repairs
Display good communication skills and ability to work well with others
Work independently with minimal supervision
Maintain all DC policies and procedures
Maintain a safe and professional work environment
Read electrical and mechanical schematics
Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed
