Requirements

  • Strong progressive managerial skills to lead a team of managers and coordinators
  • Ability to manage near and long-range expectations across multiple Terex sites (manufacturing, fabrication, and 21 service locations)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and inspire the team to achieve exceptional safety performance
  • Influence team members and leaders to own key safety initiatives that reduce risk
  • Build continuity between business expectations and EHS initiatives, fostering partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and security regulatory requirements
  • Utilize metrics, innovative incentives, and techniques to drive safety behavior at all levels
  • Support leaders in all departments to follow safety regulations and eliminate unsafe conditions through risk evaluation and reduction
  • Assess, establish, and execute relevant training
  • Participate in daily EHS activities such as safety walkthroughs, audits, task evaluations, testing, training, briefings, and performance reporting
  • Integrate safe work procedures and cultivate positive attitudes
  • Instill personal accountability through leading and participating in Behavior Based Safety processes
  • Evaluate, identify, and assure adherence to EHS procedures, policies, and rules by team members, visitors, customers, and contractors
  • Promote and lead Safety JHA Kaizen events and sustainment initiatives with Continuous Improvement efforts
  • Lead risk mitigation and injury prevention initiatives
  • Create a culture of safety by demonstrating care and compassion for team members
  • Develop strategies supporting Business Unit goals for safety and environmental protection, working with leadership and EHS committees
  • Provide counsel to leadership on safety and environmental protection, including remedial or preventative programs
