Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience with C or C++, professional experience in safety-critical software verification aligned with DO-178C or comparable standards, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent background. Experience with requirements-based testing in unit test and Hardware-In-The-Loop environments is also required.

Responsibilities

As a Flight Software Verification Engineer, you will verify bare metal embedded software that interacts with sensors and control systems, robustly handles system faults, and integrates with other vehicle subsystems; you will drive the verification strategy and tooling to ensure an effective and compliant environment for software verification, and write tests to demonstrate correct and safe behavior. You will also have the opportunity to work directly with flight hardware in the lab and on the plane, plan flight testing, and observe your software flying an aircraft.

Reliable Robotics

Develops automation technology for aircraft

About Reliable Robotics

Reliable Robotics develops automation technology for aircraft, focusing on making flying safer, more accessible, and more affordable through autonomous operations. Their systems are designed for both cargo operators and passenger airlines, specifically targeting small (Part 23) and larger (Part 25) aircraft. The company emphasizes a 'certification forward' approach, ensuring that their automated systems meet regulatory standards early in development, which enhances safety and reliability. They have successfully demonstrated fully automated operations for small aircraft and are working on commercializing this technology for broader use. Reliable Robotics generates revenue by selling or licensing their automation systems and may also provide maintenance and support services. Led by co-founder and CEO Robert W. Rose, who has a strong background in aerospace and robotics, the company aims to significantly impact the aviation industry by improving the efficiency and safety of air travel.
