Requirements

  • Broad and deep experience in engineering leadership and management
  • Experience building and delivering comprehensive cloud solutions
  • Full understanding of the team’s business domains to shape principles, practices, and capture just-in-time decisions based on trade-off analysis
  • Strong analytical skills to break down abstract and complex problems into smaller problems and apply Domain Driven Design approaches (e.g., identifying bounded contexts and establishing decomposition processes)
  • Ability to devise solutions based on limited information and precedent to find creative ways to tackle challenges
  • Ability to interpret, assess, and resolve a wide range of issues and select the right course of action
  • Capability to collaborate with external and internal stakeholders of different roles, backgrounds, and varying degrees of domain understanding, adapting communication style accordingly
  • Experience driving team growth in skills and competencies, including embracing AI for productivity and efficiency, and equipping team members to adopt and evolve AI team practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead a talented team of geographically distributed software architects
  • Architect and deliver the next suite of services that power the PitchBook platform
  • Guide multiple teams (across stream aligned teams, Platform Team, Enabling Team(s), and Complex Subsystems teams) to build exceptional solutions relied upon by thousands of customers daily
  • Actively engage with the broader PitchBook Architecture function, including other geographically distributed managers and architects
  • Work with PitchBook professionals around the world to delight customers and grow the business
  • Drive the growth of the team’s skills and competencies, including AI adoption
