About the Role

We are building the next-generation infrastructure and security platform for CrowdStrike. The OverWatch Labs (OWL) team develops the platform and tools for our OverWatch analysts to process and hunt through trillions of events per day, with continuous growth. We are looking for an engineer eager to advance the OWL platform as we scale further. An ideal candidate will possess a broad range of computer skills across the software stack and excellent communication abilities. You should thrive in an environment focused on large-scale, distributed, cloud-based, highly available systems capable of efficiently processing trillions of events daily.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OverWatch engineering members to build, develop, and maintain operational systems, projects, and tools.
• Be comfortable taking on projects to build new components and extend the current system.
• Enhance the platform and tools to improve the effectiveness of the OverWatch team's analysis and hunting capabilities.
• Bring research projects into production environments and integrate them with the OWL systems.
• Work in a devops environment where you and your team are responsible for the systems you deploy, including participating in an on-call rotation.
• Be an energetic 'self-starter' with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
• Demonstrate a desire for quality and understand the tools and processes needed to achieve it, helping the team reach a higher standard.
• Be an adaptable and flexible engineer who is constantly learning and enjoys tackling complex and novel challenges.
• Utilize and contribute back to the open-source community.
• Work as part of a distributed team of remote workers across different time zones.

Requirements
