Requirements

Candidates should possess 5 years or more of professional software development experience, strong proficiency in Python, and experience with API design and development, particularly RESTful APIs. They should also have experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, along with knowledge of software design patterns and principles, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Experience with graph databases like Neo4j or MemGraph, and asynchronous programming is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Sr. Engineer - Data Services, you will focus on designing and implementing scalable, high-performance software solutions for distributed data platforms, writing production-quality code primarily in Python to automate infrastructure management, developing microservices, creating data processing pipelines, implementing monitoring and optimization solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting complex software issues in production environments. You will also be responsible for maintaining an understanding of data components like Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and Kafka, and using that knowledge to operate and automate properly configured clusters, rolling out new products and features, and ensuring the safety, security, and availability of petabytes of critical business data.
