Workday Associate Engagement Manager (Government)

The Sr Engagement Manager must have experience managing Workday product implementations for state and local government clients. They should be adept at guiding customers through the deployment lifecycle, solution delivery, and issue management, while partnering with Workday Delivery leadership, consultants, and resource management. The role requires managing a portfolio of project engagements, including external customer-facing and internal Workday engagements, and ensuring successful implementation of the Workday product on large projects. Experience in managing to an agreed-upon budget and delivering projects profitably is essential. Participation in the sales cycle, including gathering requirements, formulating delivery approaches, and developing proposals/SOWs, is also a requirement.
The Engagement Manager will project manage one or more Workday product implementations concurrently, ensuring successful delivery within budget and time outlined in the SOW. They will provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Services resources, ensure projects are properly planned and staffed, and work with the client project manager to identify and resolve issues impacting project scope and timeframes. The Engagement Manager will also work with Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed-to checkpoints, present at Executive Steering Committee meetings, and act as a liaison for Professional Services when interacting with sales and/or development. Additionally, they will identify opportunities to position other service offerings and ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices.
