Candidates must possess a minimum of 12 years in product management, with significant experience in SaaS, AI, and/or automation. A strong understanding of workflow platforms, including triggers, variables, conditions, and actions, as well as no code, low code, and procode authoring modalities is required. Experience with and a deep interest in building experiences powered by generative and agentic AI are essential, along with strong technical acumen and a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing product management teams. The ideal candidate will have a history of taking products from concept to market success in a startup or agile innovation environment with a rapid experimentation mindset, and be a self-motivated user of AI tools for personal productivity and product development, with a bias towards scaling team output with technology.
The Senior Director of Product Management will lead the industry's transformation toward fully automated operations by owning the current AI and Automation portfolio and its integration into PagerDuty Operations Cloud. Responsibilities include developing a compelling product strategy and roadmap for PagerDuty’s AI assistant, AI agent platform, and automation offerings, and allocating resources strategically between innovation and sustaining existing products. The role involves developing and evangelizing the internal AI agent platform to empower teams to build agents on PagerDuty’s data and integrate them into interfaces and workflows, as well as expanding the AI ecosystem through partnerships and integrations. Key duties also include setting and achieving product engagement targets, driving product decisions with a focus on customer value and financial impact, fostering a high-performing product management team through coaching and accountability, and collaborating closely with various internal teams to maximize product market impact. Additionally, the role requires building trusted relationships with customers, partners, media, and industry analysts to represent PagerDuty as a thought leader.
