Requirements
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending practices
- Ability to sell CRA products and services effectively
- Familiarity with Fannie Mae form 1003
- Proficiency in using loan origination systems (LOMAS)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage pipelines and meet deadlines
- Understanding of Fifth Third Mortgage Company policies and procedures
- Knowledge of real estate trade associations and nonprofit partners
Responsibilities
- Leading internal and external sales and partnership meetings
- Assisting CRA MLO colleagues with general loan support and business development
- Membership in real estate trade association and/or nonprofit partners board or committee involvement
- Maintaining and growing internal relationships with Membership Advantage, Community Economic Development team, Business Resource Groups and Financial Center One Bank Teams
- Developing and maintaining CRA prospects & referral contacts (realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts)
- Acting as a peer mentor for newly hired CRA MLOs
- Maintaining knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines
- Conducting and coordinating homebuyer-training seminars
- Handling employee loans and participating in Fifth Third-coordinated functions to promote employee loans
- Following defined protocol for escalation of exceptions
- Collecting appropriate documentation from applicants and delivering loan packages within established timeframes
- Managing loan pipelines through closing and completing required management reports
- Communicating with applicants and referral sources, providing timely updates and progress reports
- Maintaining high levels of customer service
- Attending and participating in Consumer Lending meetings as required
