CrowdStrike Romania: Established in 2018 with 18 engineers, our Romanian team has grown to over 300 people. Our engineers work remotely across Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj, Timisoara, Brasov, and Craiova. We are a remote-friendly company, and this role is open to all candidates in Romania, remote.

About the Falcon Platform

Falcon is CrowdStrike's purpose-built platform designed to stop breaches through a unified suite of cloud-delivered technologies that prevent all types of attacks, including malware and much more. CrowdStrike stores over 15 petabytes of data in the cloud, which it uses to make decisions on upwards of 1 trillion security events daily.

About the Role

As part of the Cloud Engineering Platform Data organization, you will build globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly-scalable cloud-based systems using a microservices architecture. You will lay the foundation for CrowdStrike to continue pushing the state of the art in security services. Numerous other teams will leverage the core infrastructure components you help build to enhance security products and make cyberspace a safer place.

You will be part of a team building multiple components for the Data Platform: a Tagging System, a Cloud Scheduling System, and a Cross Cloud Data Synchronization System. The technology is built in-house and powered by Cassandra, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Redis, Kubernetes, and Go.

What You'll Do

• Participate in engineering efforts to transform rapid prototypes into large-scale core services.
• Leverage and build cloud-based services to support our top-rated security intelligence platform.
• Ensure petabytes of critical business data are safe, secure, and available.
• Brainstorm, define, and build collaboratively with members across multiple teams.
• Embrace continuous learning and champion new technologies and techniques, thereby raising the technical IQ of the team.
• Receive mentorship and mentor other developers on backend and data storage technologies.
• Constantly re-evaluate our product to improve architecture, knowledge models, user experience, performance, and stability.
• Be an energetic "self-starter" with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.
• Utilize and contribute to open-source communities.
