Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk analysis and independent oversight of credit quality for assigned portfolios
  • Manage all aspects of credit quality, including compliance with regulators and internal controls
  • Recommend opportunities and propose resolutions for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and risk reduction
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate the company's credit risk management program for risk-based processing and reporting to reduce losses and protect assets
  • Translate business queries into actionable, commercial insights using unstructured data and statistical techniques
  • Drive cross-functional analytics projects end-to-end, including relationship building, data handling, and insight summarization for decision-making
  • Work with engineers to promote data best practices and implement analytics solutions
  • Evaluate and discover alternative data vendors, validate external algorithms, and apply to commercial use cases
  • Perform quantitative analysis (alpha assessment, risk analysis, portfolio construction, return attribution) to enhance investment strategies
  • Leverage data tools and collaborate with data scientists/engineers to adapt initiatives to business needs
  • Collaborate across business areas to uncover and address scalability/growth opportunities
  • Influence others operationally on new concepts, best practices for credit risk mitigation, identification, resolution, and management
  • Lead special risk mitigation projects/programs, business continuity, incident response, and security activities
  • Systematize ad hoc reporting for lines of business and team members, supporting senior/executive reporting and status updates
