Master’s degree with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
Additional certification for working with students with speech and/or language disabilities
Valid Arkansas Standard Certification in speech pathology and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card OR State license issued by the Arkansas Department of Health as a Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist and a Clearance 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Card

Responsibilities

Screen and evaluate students with language difficulties or delayed development
Provide speech and language services in alignment with each student’s IEP
Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team to review eligibility for students with speech and language needs
Prepare lesson plans aligned to IEP goals in collaboration with classroom teachers
Complete all required local, state, and federal documentation for student caseloads
Act as a resource for teachers, parents, and administrators on speech and language needs
Participate in initial and ongoing training for speech and language paraprofessionals
