Requirements

  • Master’s degree with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency)
  • Additional certification supporting work with students with speech and/or language disabilities
  • Must possess either: A valid Arizona Standard Certification in Speech Pathology and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card OR a state license issued by the Arizona Department of Health as a Speech-Language Therapist/Pathologist and a Clearance 1 (IVP) Fingerprint Card
  • Availability between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Arizona time

Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate students with language difficulties or developmental delays
  • Provide speech and language services in alignment with each student’s IEP
  • Serve as a member of the multidisciplinary team when reviewing student eligibility for speech and language services
  • Prepare lesson plans aligned with IEP goals in collaboration with classroom teachers
  • Complete all required local, state, and federal documentation for student caseloads
  • Act as a resource for teachers, parents, and administrators regarding speech and language needs
  • Participate in initial and ongoing training for speech and language paraprofessionals
