Oversight of financial reporting preparation, review of client accounting functions, completion of FRR and LRR calculations for Guernsey licensee entities, statutory accounts filing, and preparation of financial reporting as needed
Experience reviewing financial reporting for outsourced jurisdictions

Responsibilities

Promote effective communication through individual and team meetings; maintain strong relationships with clients, auditors, administration team, and other departments
Develop accounting team by increasing technical knowledge and skills via coaching, on-the-job training, and ensuring procedures are up to date and adhered to
Organize the accounting team: establish timetables for deliverables with clients/external parties, ensure adherence, enable proactive communication, identify and coordinate process enhancements, prioritize assignments, provide feedback, and escalate issues
Advise on accounting issues, best practices; share knowledge, expertise, and guidance with team and clients; handle complex transactions and technical accounting matters
Design pro forma accounts ensuring compliance with regulations/standards and agreement with clients/auditors
Oversee preparation of financial reporting up to Board presentation (if required); review work by fund accountants and senior fund accountants; complete FRR and LRR calculations for Guernsey entities; file statutory accounts on time; prepare financial reporting as necessary
Review financial reporting for Guernsey funds outsourced to other Northern Trust jurisdictions
Liaise with internal teams and Investment Advisor; complete non-accounting tasks and ad-hoc queries within timeframes to meet client KPIs
