Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required or willing to obtain GED within the first 6 months of employment
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Understanding of general workplace safety and the ability to follow safety standards, as well as help the company improve upon the standards in place
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and a good driving record
  • Ability to work overtime and non-standard working hours (nights, holidays, weekends), when needed
  • Professionalism and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to operate a computer with technical proficiency of standard business software

Responsibilities

  • (Level I) Assists higher level Technicians in performing maintenance
  • (Level I) Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility
  • (Level I) Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements
  • (Level I) Participates in required training, including On-the-Job Training, Self-Study, Computer Based Training and Classroom Training
  • (Level I) Performs other duties as assigned within the level I scope
  • (Level II Addition) Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform
  • (Level II Addition) Performs work independently and/or in work crews
  • (Level II Addition) Travel required as needed
  • (Level II Addition) Performs other duties as assigned within the level II scope
  • (Level III Addition) Executes routine electrical troubleshooting and repair, instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting
  • (Level III Addition) Performs complex maintenance work such as distributed control systems and inverter troubleshooting as assigned by supervisor based on level of skill and ability
  • (Level III Addition) Completes work orders for the preventive maintenance management system
  • (Level III Addition) Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all PV Solar equipment
  • (Level III Addition) Prepares and implements switching and clearance orders, while working with Operations Center
  • (Level III Addition) Operates all electrical and mechanical PV Solar power plant systems
  • (Level III Addition) Participates in training as required, JHA, PJB, LOTO documentation
  • (Level III Addition) Writes Plant Orders, Plant Procedures, Operating Instructions and other documents as assigned by supervisor
  • (Level III Addition) Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements
  • (Level III Addition) Performs other duties as assigned within the level III scope
