Engineering Manager, Product Engineering
1PasswordFull Time
Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates should be former engineers who have built impressive products and have experience building teams of great engineers. They should be comfortable with engineers writing product specs, making product decisions, and breaking down projects into individual tickets. Proficiency in debugging systems and code, shipping bug fixes, and improving developer experience is also required.
The Software Engineering Manager will manage three to five engineers, hire three to five more, and provide feedback on product and technical specs to influence engineers' decisions. They will grow engineers to deliver large, loosely defined projects with little intervention and contribute to systems and code for debugging and developer experience improvements. Additionally, they will propose and lead department and company-wide initiatives such as rethinking pull request reviews, designing and improving interviews, and enhancing demo account data generation and simulation.
