Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree with a focus on computer science, engineering, or mathematics
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Available to participate in a full-time internship between June-August
  • Within commuting distance to the Austin office location for the duration of the internship
  • Mission-driven student seeking to make a difference in their work and in their community
  • No prior mastery of tech stack required, but familiarity with Python (backend and APIs), Javascript/React, Jinja, SQL databases, GCP (Cloud functions, Cloud Run, etc.) or strong willingness to learn quickly

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with professional engineers alongside a cohort of fellow interns
  • Participate in Agile development through scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standup, and sprint retrospectives
  • Learn and apply technical concepts for each ticket assigned throughout the project
  • Work with your team to break down project requirements into deliverable units of work and estimate task complexity
  • Explore and use AI tools within product development
  • Build and improve internal applications from end-to-end that have real impact
  • Research and understand the needs of the end user
