Position Overview

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for its IT Management Product Group. As an Engineer III SDET, you will leverage your experience with large-scale products to design and implement comprehensive test automation tools and infrastructure. Your work will ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our cloud-based cybersecurity and IT management systems. About the Product: Falcon For IT

Falcon For IT is CrowdStrike's newest product, designed to help IT & Security teams understand their infrastructure, applications, and endpoints. It integrates with Charlotte AI to enhance usability and accelerate issue identification and remediation. This cloud-based solution allows customers to query their entire endpoint fleet to address IT challenges. It works in synergy with CrowdStrike's Sensor, a driver installed on client machines that monitors system activity, detects malicious behavior, and provides on-box prevention and remote telemetry to the cloud.

Success in this Role Means

  • Automating Test Processes: Enhancing speed, reproducibility, and scalability through the development of system tests, performance tests, integration tests, unit tests, and more.
  • Code Review: Critically reviewing feature code to ensure quality against functional and non-functional requirements.
  • System Deconstruction: Creatively and effectively breaking down software systems to identify potential issues.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Problem Solving: Thriving on responsibility, challenges, and ambitious goals by building elegant, robust, and reliable solutions for complex technical problems.
  • Quality Visibility: Providing clear insights into product quality through metrics, dashboards, and reports.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the design and development of scalable and efficient automated testing architecture and automation frameworks.
  • Understand end-to-end testing requirements, and develop and maintain test plans for functional and system testing.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to grasp requirements and define effective testing strategies.
  • Contribute expertise, knowledge, and suggestions to improve quality assurance practices.
  • Engage in hands-on coding, leading by example in crafting solutions with a clear vision of the overall system.
  • Adapt testing focus based on business priorities to align with objectives and manage expectations.
  • Navigate and manage ambiguity while delivering innovative solutions.
