Requirements

4+ years of Software Engineering experience
B.Sc. Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of the Secure Software Development Life-cycle
Strong proficiency with DevOps and Continuous Integration/Delivery tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible
Experience with Java programming language, including object-oriented principles and design patterns
Experience building and deploying microservices using Helm and Spring Boot framework
Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks for Java microservices
Understanding of microservices principles, design patterns, and best practices
Ability to create and manage Docker containers, Docker files, and Docker Compose
Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, deployments, services, and configuration management
Experience with Git for code version control and collaboration on GitHub
Familiarity with Observability tools and logging practices for distributed systems
Good written and verbal communication
Good to have: Experience with any security tool, Terraform, Linux scripts

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain microservice applications and CI/CD pipelines
Implement DevSecOps strategy in existing and new projects, including developing security controls to harden CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve application security posture
Fix issues in existing systems using industry standard coding practices
Work closely with other development and SRE team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs
Troubleshoot and debug issues in complex microservices environments
Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation
Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
Resolve complex technical issues as necessary
