Software Engineer II

Candidates require a Bachelor’s degree in a computer science-related discipline or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent programming languages is required, as well as proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS, data structures, database concepts, algorithms, and observability concepts. Experience with GraphQL APIs and event-driven architecture is highly desirable.
As a Software Engineer III, you will independently design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure features, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, write clean and well-documented code, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, drive continuous improvement of development processes, conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and stay current with emerging technologies. You will also contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture and lead innovative projects.
