Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience, along with 3+ years of software development experience and 1+ years of experience with distributed messaging tools like RabbitMQ or Kafka. Strong proficiency in PHP, Scala/Java, and SQL is required, as is a solid understanding of search concepts and experience with ElasticSearch. Problem-solving and debugging skills, along with excellent communication and leadership skills, are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer II, you will lead the design and architecture of advanced search solutions, leveraging AI and vector search techniques. You will support, maintain, and extend the search indexing pipeline using RabbitMQ and Redis, mentor and guide a team of engineers, collaborate with product managers and UX designers, and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in search technology. You will identify opportunities to improve search performance, relevance, and user experience, and work closely with data scientists to leverage AI models for personalized search recommendations.
