Responsibilities

  • Improve the sim/resim cloud framework and applications, involving Python coding, interacting with open source packages, and AWS/GCP services
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks through benchmarking and create dashboards to track and summarize information
  • Implement solutions to increase efficiency based on benchmarking insights
  • Ensure the framework is intuitive and easy to use by incorporating user feedback and observing usage patterns
  • Engage with users (autonomy, systems, test, and other teams) to understand needs and plan future improvements
  • Make the framework well-documented and self-serve for extensions by other teams
  • Contribute to managing storage and searching of vehicle logs, including automating indexing of interesting actors and interactions, and determining dataset coverage
  • Support post-resim processing by enabling easy addition of metrics for AV performance analysis (from low-level detectors to high-level business objectives) and implementing metrics as needed
