Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience and 2+ years of production experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK
  • Bachelor’s degree or better in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent job experience
  • Some experience with Reactive Programming and Dependency Injection
  • Familiar with architectural patterns (MVI/MVVM or equivalent)
  • Quality communication skills who can collaborate well across teams
  • Coachable and receptive to constructive feedback
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortable using common Android libraries such as Dagger 2 / Hilt, RxJava2, Groupie
  • A solid understanding of the core concepts of the Android SDK

Responsibilities

  • Comfortable with the Android SDK and ready to own entire features
  • Solid foundation of skills including debugging skills, familiarity with Android Studio, and how to maximize it
  • Prepared to dive into moderately complex issues such as memory leaks and lifecycle issues
  • Understand the value of being organized, planning ahead, and accompanying features and fixes with tests and documentation
  • Eager for constructive feedback from mentors and willing to collaborate with less experienced engineers
