Brigit is a holistic financial health company dedicated to helping everyday Americans build a brighter financial future. We offer transparent, fair, and simple financial products designed to put money back in the hands of our members and help them avoid unfair fees and build their credit quickly. We’re looking for fullstack engineers to help us scale our next-generation consumer finance platform to millions of users. We've built a mobile/web app on React and React Native with Typescript, and a backend of Java services in Google Cloud.

Requirements

Experience with React and React Native
Proficiency in Typescript
Experience with Java backend services
Familiarity with Google Cloud
Strong understanding of data engineering principles
Experience with relational database schema optimization
Experience with building and maintaining REST APIs

Responsibilities

Feature development supporting numerous external and internal applications.
Implementing new user flows and integrating with 3rd party APIs.
Computing proprietary algorithms.
Storing and serving data efficiently.
Contributing to the scalability of customer-facing applications.
Improving the efficiency and reliability of internal tools.
Working on Data Engineering tasks, automation procedures, and availability/monitoring problems.
Creating and maintaining components and libraries.
Participating in testing and QA processes.
Enhancing CI/CD pipelines.

Building a Payments API platform that moves millions of dollars daily.
Implementing the advanced mathematical processes behind our proprietary risk algorithm.
Normalizing relational database schema to optimize performance for over 1 million users.
End-to-end User notification (via SMS, Email, Push) capabilities.
Building internal tools that enable Customer Support Specialists to help customers ASAP.
