Requirements

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in back-end programming languages like Golang, Java, or Python, and 2+ years of experience with databases (NoSQL and Relational). A minimum of 2 years of experience with microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), REST API design and development, and Docker/containers is required. Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes and agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is also necessary. Nice-to-have qualifications include experience with CI/CD pipelines, TDD and other testing methodologies, monitoring and observability tools, scaling applications for high concurrent users, and knowledge of load balancing and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will work on high-traffic SaaS services at a global scale, building highly available, zero-downtime middleware and front-end products. They will contribute to software spanning from the browser to data pipelines, supporting a dedicated data science/blue watch team. Engineers will collaborate within agile, cross-functional teams to build and own services and projects from requirements to maintenance, and assist in migrating from monolithic systems and AWS lambdas to a microservices-based architecture on Kubernetes.
