Software Engineer - C++ at Verisign

The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300, with base pay varying based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Verisign also offers a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.

This position is based in the Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Required skills include solid understanding of C++ or similar system-level programming language, Python or similar scripting, Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design), CI/CD concepts and tools, proficiency with Linux, outstanding problem-solving skills, and being an excellent teammate.

The ATLAS platform implementation team is a high-performing, agile team that builds horizontally scalable, high-performance, and highly available systems in a dynamic and flexible work environment. They emphasize collaboration, code quality, best practices like automated testing and CI/CD, and working together to mitigate technical risks.

Strong candidates have 5+ years of relevant software development experience, including 2+ years in C++ or similar, experience on an Agile team, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Bonus for Rust, DNS protocol knowledge, and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
