About the Role

• As an early engineer at Orb, you’ll help build the technical foundations of a critical product.
• You’ll work closely with customers to understand pain points and incorporate insights into the product roadmap.
• The role involves tackling technical challenges related to designing, maintaining, scaling, and collaborating on the core billing engine.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining the primitives of Orb’s core billing engine.
• Evolving the product data model for complexity and simplicity.
• Scaling the system to handle large deployments with high stability and performance.
• Collaborating with PM, design, sales, and customer success teams to shape product strategy and deliver customer value.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Enthusiasm for working on a broad range of technical challenges.
• Attention to detail in designing a product with user empathy.
• Excitement to engage with customers.
