Your Mission

Innovate, Execute, and Deliver Impact. As a Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in building features that matter, tackling technical challenges, and delivering high-impact solutions.

What You’ll Do: Own the Code, Shape the Future

  • Deliver High-Quality, Scalable Code:
    • Write performant backend services using Node/NestJS.
    • Develop reliable frontend experiences with React and TypeScript.
    • Utilize MongoDB, Postgres, and Redis for data integrity and speed at scale.
  • Develop Reusable Components and Utilities:
    • Contribute clean, modular code for web and mobile applications (Ionic/React, Dart/Flutter).
    • Collaborate with the DevX team to enhance tooling and libraries for global engineering productivity.
  • Own the Full Software Development Lifecycle:
    • Manage the process from problem definition and design through development, testing, demoing, and production support.
    • Deploy code using trunk-based development and short-lived feature branches with automated regression testing.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Customers:
    • Understand real-world problems faced by facility clients, nurses, and internal users.
    • Engage directly with customers for feedback, requirement confirmation, and solution validation.
  • Embrace a Remote-First Culture:
    • Communicate effectively in a globally distributed team, embracing asynchronous discussions, thorough documentation, and over-communication.
    • Participate in daily overlap sessions or syncs, typically in the mornings (US PST), for team alignment.
  • Contribute to a Customer-Centric Approach:
    • Prioritize user experience in all tasks, including bug fixing, addressing tech debt (approx. 20% of time), and feature brainstorming.
    • Balance speedy fixes for critical issues with long-term structural improvements.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotations:
    • Own the systems you build and contribute to solutions when issues arise.
    • Be on-call for approximately one week per month to ensure platform reliability.

What You Bring to the Table: A High-Ownership Mindset

  • Professional Software Development:
    • Proficiency in building complex web or mobile applications, ideally with TypeScript, React, and Node/NestJS.
    • Experience developing, monitoring, and supporting services in production.
  • Deep Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of service-specific integration testing, E2E testing, and selective unit tests.
    • Familiarity with AWS.
