Software Engineer

Position Overview

Summary

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Java applications. You will be an integral part of a team building innovative solutions, ensuring application performance and reliability, and actively contributing to the development process. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite at our Plano, TX location. Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java applications.
• Collaborate with team members to solve software problems.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for your work.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Help develop and maintain automated testing to ensure high-quality software.
• Work with cloud technologies such as microservices, serverless, and containers.
• Develop RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Help deploy and maintain applications in various environments.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain applications in lower environments and in Production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Java Developer with some experience in React or other Front-end technologies.
• Experience with Java 8 and above.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with Java build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with automated testing frameworks like JUnit.
• Basic knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with front-end development technologies such as Angular or React.
• Experience in leveraging AI in the software development lifecycle.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $112,000 - $130,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
  • Note: The actual base salary offered will depend on various factors including qualifications, years of experience, specific skills, education, certifications, business needs, and market demand.
