Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Secret clearance or higher and hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in C++ software development is required, along with experience in the software development lifecycle and version control tools. Strong problem-solving, debugging abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Experience with Java and Linux/Unix environments, along with familiarity with DoD software development processes and secure coding practices, are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain C++ software applications to meet system requirements and performance goals. They will contribute to software architecture, participate in design and code reviews, and support software integration, debugging, and testing in Linux environments. Responsibilities also include collaborating with cross-functional teams on requirements, documenting software designs and specifications, analyzing and resolving software issues, and ensuring compliance with DoD standards and security guidelines.
