Requirements

Experience in software development and testing processes, focusing on testability, robustness, and performance
Proficiency in writing automated, repeatable test code to reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality/consistency
Skills in developing and maintaining automation code for front-end, middleware, and database systems using latest tools and programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Swift, Typescript, Bright script)
Ability to partner with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices
Capability to repair complex broken automation scripts and perform peer reviews of automation codebase
Knowledge of software development lifecycle stages and ability to provide input
Experience integrating business and functional priorities
Ability to report test execution results to senior leadership
Comfortable acting as a key contributor in complex environments, potentially leading teams or projects and sharing expertise
Familiarity with video streaming technologies, including IP video playback, DRM, advertisement, emergency alerts, and real-time analytics

Responsibilities

Validate product quality by analyzing and testing the code base
Build automation testing tools and frameworks to assist manual testing processes, specifically for the Player Platform SDK on X1 set-top boxes, Xfinity Stream apps (Android, iOS, Web, Roku)
Develop and maintain code that validates front-end, middleware, and database systems
Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product owners, SDETs, and QA engineers on a scrum team
Focus on testing IP video playback experiences integrating with video streaming, content protection (DRM), advertisement, emergency alerts, and real-time analytics services
Report test execution results to senior leadership
