Candidates should possess functional testing experience, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting. They must have expertise with automated testing tools and strategies, a solid understanding of web application structure and potential 'soft spots', recent exposure to a startup environment building and contributing to a test framework, including automation, from the ground up. Experience with Docker and Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts and tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions is required, along with API testing (RESTful, gRPC) and a passion for testing, development, and solving challenging technical problems. Working experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and one or more test automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright is also necessary.
The Senior Software Engineer in Test will help build an Engineering culture that enables quality in all software feature development teams across the company, develop and execute plans for continuously increasing coverage and decreasing test execution time, make frequent contributions to the test automation harness as part of the continuous integration pipeline, design test cases and execute all types of tests (e.g. functional, integration, end-to-end, security, and performance, both manual and automated), build tools to support automated testing, load testing, and performance testing of the products, interact and participate in meetings with key stakeholders, team members and internal users regarding timelines, and technical issues, mentor and guide other Quality Engineering team members as well as technical and non-technical staff members.
