Requirements

  • 5–8 years of professional experience as a Software Automation Test Engineer with a focus on Web and API automation
  • Proficient in developing automation scripts for web automation testing using Selenium/WebDriver.io
  • Strong knowledge of software test design techniques (equivalence class, boundary value, decision table, use case testing)
  • Hands-on experience in Agile testing practices including BDD, test automation, and continuous integration
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Mandatory) and skilled in writing BDD test cases and working with qTest
  • Proficient in testing Web Services and RESTful APIs
  • Experience testing Kafka and RabbitMQ messaging systems
  • Experience with Javascript/Typescript/Java programming languages
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Good knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud services
  • Strong understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate effectively with management, engineers, and customers
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex technical documents, diagrams, and data models

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automated UI/API test suites (Sanity, Regression, and Automation)
  • Conduct exploratory testing on features and bug fixes using both manual and automated techniques
  • Identify, create, update, and track software defects in Jira and proactively review test results
  • Proactively and regularly communicate project status, risks, and other issues to stakeholders and management
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision within a distributed team and actively participate in code and test reviews
