Requirements

Culturally fluent and sharp-witted with a key focus on sport, able to turn sporting moments into scroll-stopping content
Deeply immersed in entertainment, sport, and pop culture, understanding sport fans and content trends
Constantly active on X, TikTok, and Instagram, in tune with trends, especially in the world of sport and major events
Strong copywriter with natural, conversational tone, sharp humour, and ability to match different brand voices
Creative, collaborative, independent, and self-driven
Detail-oriented with excellent sense of timing, tone, and what makes people react online
Quick, reactive, and always looking for opportunities to make a brand part of the cultural conversation
3–4 years of hands-on experience in social media content creation, community management, or digital storytelling, ideally in a creative agency, entertainment brand, or fast-paced in-house team
Strong understanding of the sports industry and differences between major tournaments and organizations
Proven track record of high-performing social content across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
Experience in short-form video creation, including shooting, editing (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere, in-app editors), and platform-tailored ideas
Strong background in social copywriting, from punchy one-liners and memes to longer captions and community replies, with tone fluency
Demonstrated ability to spot trends early, create culturally relevant content, and respond to real-time moments
Experience working cross-functionally with teams (e.g., strategy, design, production, client service) from brief to execution
Familiarity with social media performance metrics and optimization

Responsibilities

Develop and execute platform-native social content ideas aligned with the sport agenda
Develop the monthly social content calendar for one or two major sporting events in the region
Bring sporting events to life on social through impactful ideas that drive ticket sales and attendance
Write social copy (one-liners to longer captions) that stops scrolling, in a human, relatable, brand-aligned tone
Monitor social conversations and trends to react in real-time with smart, engaging content
Work cross-functionally with in-house creative teams to bring content to life
Support community engagement with fan-like content
On-site during sporting events: manage social content output, capture moments for reels and TikTok
Develop interesting on-ground content ideas to shoot with players and partners
