Requirements

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of four years of progressive experience in small business underwriting, with at least two years of experience leading a project, process, or team. They should have advanced knowledge of financial institution policies and procedures and be a subject matter expert in using the bank’s loan application processing system.

Responsibilities

As a Small Business Underwriting Supervisor, the individual will review the credit presentations of other team members for adjudication or routing, ensure booked requests meet the Bank’s Lending policies and procedures, and monitor loan performance. They will also develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff, internal and external clients/business partners, and vendors, coach/train, recruit and mentor the underwriting team, oversee the accurate and efficient use of the loan origination system, assist management with various reporting responsibilities, and assist with problem solving and dispute resolution in underwriting, collateral valuation and perfection, and post booking modification requests.
