Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of related experience within a laboratory setting or customer service (preferred)
Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Strong verbal and written communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service, including maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor
Strong desire to serve the customer and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel
Operating skills to use handheld scanners to enter data in various systems and analytical skills to reconcile reports
Ability to understand the complexity of various work environments and work safely following all policies and procedures
Computer proficiency with intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite
Organizational skills to multi-task and meet due dates
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (regularly 30-40 lbs., up to 50 lbs. occasionally)
Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. using equipment like pushcarts, pallet jacks, mobile cylinders, forklifts
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct manual material handling (twisting, bending, reaching, lifting) for prolonged periods
Ability to work in environments with varied temperatures (cold rooms/freezers -22°F/-6°C, outside weather conditions)
Ability to work with hazardous/toxic materials and wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, lab coats, coveralls, hoods, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, steel-toe shoes, bump hats)
Ability to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Use inventory/order management electronic systems for on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing
Perform laboratory services such as order delivery, dry ice delivery, chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation
Proactively connect with supervisor on any customer concerns and/or potential problems and address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes
Engage in process improvement activities
Be involved with safety programs such as hazard identification, inspections, and incident reporting/investigation as required
May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management
