Responsibilities

  • Preparing surfaces and applying paint or other finishes using spray equipment, ensuring high standards of quality and safety
  • Accurately utilizing data collection systems
  • Effectively performing basic assembly and disassembly operations
  • Using blueprints, gauges, torque measuring devices, and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications
  • Using precision measuring devices to effectively assemble and/or disassemble final product
  • Performing preventive maintenance
  • Assisting in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes
  • Performing 5S Audits
  • Performing Safety Stop Audits observations
  • Participating in the CI/PID Process
  • Performing any duties or tasks assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop
  • Following the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Standard Work Sheets
  • Promoting a culture based on our Values in Action
  • Following established facility safety policies, safe job procedures, hazardous risk assessments, and using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Working with a variety of employees to effectively communicate needs and perform job-related tasks
  • Serving as a positive role model and contributing to team effort by supporting all employees
  • Ensuring customer requirements are met
  • Conducting business with the highest level of honesty and integrity
  • Operating a variety of tools and equipment to assemble and disassemble prime product
