Requirements

  • 1 year of working experience in mill / turn machining industries
  • Secondary Education / ITE / Diploma / graduate in science in Metal Machining
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and understand English
  • Familiarity with CMM tools and critical dimensions recording

Responsibilities

  • Perform adjustments and measurements assuring proper alignment of machine and parts
  • Assist the Support Team in carrying out tool performance evaluation and testing of new programs and cutting tools
  • Conduct machine tool preventive maintenance and implement good 5S auditing
  • Apply CMM tool to inspect parts to ensure conformity to requirements and perform critical dimensions recording and machining mapping
  • Assist fixture team in carrying out fixture performance and rigidity evaluation and testing of new fixture designs and clamping methods
  • Implement new machining technology to reduce machining costs and participate in improvement projects and implementing in lean Manufacturing
  • Set up and operate various types of conventional and CNC machines
  • Perform production machining operations specified by the Manufacturing Order Package
  • Ensure parts meet specifications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
